Dear Parents,
Our main focus during Lenten will be ‘changing our hearts’. This was the theme of our Ash Wednesday Service this week. We will as usual participate in SCIAF’s campaign this year and each of the classes will have a ‘wee box’, which pupils are encouraged to use to donate their loose change. We have shared the SCIAF materials with all of the pupils at the assemblies to give them an appreciation of children’s lives in third world countries.
Power/Heating Failure
I am happy to be able to report that our power and heating has now been restored.
‘What if it rains’ travel show...
Pupils in P3-P7 will participate in a ‘What if it rains’ travel show. The show is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 20th February in the morning.
Bombs & Blueberries
Primary 7 will perform ‘Bombs & Blueberries’, a wartime play, on Friday 22nd February after break for all P7 parents who are able to attend. We look forward to seeing you there. I am sure that P7 boys and girls will rise to the occasion.
February In-Service Day
Monday 18th February is an in-service day for staff. The main focus will be on taking the ‘Curriculum for Excellence’ agenda forward. The theme is ‘learning collaboratively’. Pupils should return to school on Tuesday 19th February at 8.50am.
