P7 Football News?..
Congratulations to the P7 football team who successfully won all 3 of their games on Wednesday at Wardie in the 1st Round of the Scottish Cup. They are now through to the next round. Well done and thank you to Mr Wood who coached the team on the day. The team were: Marcus Campanile, Oliver Carnevale, Rachel Dickson, Marc Forrest, Jack Wright-McLeish, Scott Morrison, Keiran Muirhead, Joseph Muzyka, Jordan Sinclair and Peter Wood.
P1 Welcome Night
A wee reminder about the St John?s Parent Council welcome night for P1 parents next Wednesday 10th October, at 7.30pm at the Dalriada Hotel, 77 The Promenade, Portobello. You will be able to enjoy a glass of wine (or two) and nibbles. There will also be live music from 9pm in the main bar for parents who would like to have even more fun than just talking to us.
School Toilets
Please encourage your child to behave appropriately in the toilets. Unfortunately a small number of pupils are abusing and vandalising the toilets on a regular basis. All repairs costs come out of our devolved school budget. It costs a lot of money to call out an emergency plumber, money we could spend on resources etc. for the children. This is most unfair for those who are trying hard to look after them.

The World?s Biggest Coffee Morning
Message of thanks from Mrs Kelly: Last Friday we did indeed create a HUGE STIR!!! Thank you so much to everyone who baked, ate and generously donated! Our coffee morning was a great success and it was so nice to see so many of you join us in the hall for coffee and cakes. Special thanks to P6B and Mrs Brown for their hard work and efforts. The money has now been counted and the total amount raised was a massive £528.50 and this is now making its way to Macmillan Cancer Support. Well done St John?s School Community.
