Dear Parents
A reminder that Monday 21st May is a Holiday and Tuesday 22nd May is an in-service day for staff. I hope that you all have a restful break, and that the sun shines!
Drama Club
Congratulations to Drama Club who gave two outstanding performances of ?Dick Whittington? ? one for the school and one for their families- on Wednesday. Their hard work, talent and confidence shone throughout the show which featured some of the best singing St John?s has heard yet. Well done once again to artistic directors, Mrs Moscrop and Mrs Williamson!
Here Comes the Bride!
We send our best wishes to Miss Erin Hislop who will be married to Mr Richard Gargaro on Sunday at St Mary?s Cathedral. We look forward to welcoming Mrs Gargaro back to P3b on Wednesday!
Marathon Madness??????
Mrs Hughes & Mrs Misselbrook are being very active this term and trying hard to raise money for breast cancer.
Mrs Hughes will be running the Edinburgh marathon on Sunday 27th May and Mrs Misselbrook will be walking the Moonwalk marathon on Saturday 16th June. If you would like to support them in their fundraising efforts please put your donation in an envelope marked ?Marathon? and all the money raised will be shared between them both.
PTA Quiz Night
The PTA quiz night was a great success providing an evening of fun and also netting £222 for funds. Particular thanks must go to Jackie Robertson and Angela Watson for all their hard work and of course to Simon Collins who demonstrated his potential for a second career as a quiz show host!
PTA News?.
Details of two further PTA events are attached to today?s newsletter ? the educational evening (as mentioned last week) and the summer fair. In connection with the fair, Oonagh O?Brien, who organises the uniform stall, has asked for donations of nearly new items to be sold at the fair. The school lost property will also be cleared out for this purpose, on the afternoon of NEXT FRIDAY 25TH MAY. PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE COLLECTED ANY LOST PROPERTY BY LUNCHTIME.
Parent Forum Meeting
A reminder that there will be a meeting of the Parent Forum here in school on Thursday 14th June at 7.30pm
Many thanks for your continued support
and co-operation,
Mrs McGee, Depute Headteacher
