Pupils need these cards for High School, so please return asap.

Nursery Congratulations?
Congratulations to the nursery team who were given an excellent report by the Care Commission. All nurseries are now subject to unannounced inspections and St John?s nursery report is the result of one such inspection carried out at the end of March. Staff were commended for their ?warm and encouraging manner with children?. The team were described as ?enthusiastic and committed? and children were observed to be benefiting from their skills and expertise. The report included positive comments from parents such as ?it?s a lovely nursery? and ?it?s fabby?. As with our last inspection report there were no requirements made to improve the quality of service. Well done to Mrs Robinson, Mrs McCall, Ms Watt and Ms Donaldson and of course our lovely nursery pupils!

Feast of the Ascension
Thursday 17th May is the Feast of the Ascension. The liturgy for this joyful occasion has been prepared by P5 teachers and pupils. We look forward to celebrating the Mass together at 9.00am in ST JOHN?S CHURCH. Children should arrive at the church by 8.50am on that morning.

PTA Committee Meeting
There will be a PTA Committee Meeting on Thursday 17th May at 7.30pm. Two important agenda items will be:

? The proposed educational evening scheduled for Monday 28th May ? more details to follow.
? Organising the school fair which is to be held on Saturday 9th June ? lots of helpers needed!
