Dear Parents,
Parents Consultations
Appointment times will be sent out on Monday or Tuesday of next week. Class teachers will be able to discuss your child?s progress with you during the 10 minute appointment time. The school management team will also be available during both sessions.
This year the PTA will help to organise the Book Fair in the school hall during appointment times. Come along and browse.
P7 Ceilidh
P7 pupils rounded off their Scottish Language & Culture focus with a Ceilidh on Wednesday. Some children recited Scots poems, others recited their own compositions written in Scots dialect.
Groups sang Scottish Songs and played tunes on various instruments. To everyone?s delight, Andrew Burns played ?Scotland the Brave? fantastically on the accordion and had everyone clapping and stamping their feet.
The children brought food to share including: scones; tablet; oatcakes; smoked salmon; tattie scones and cluttie dumpling!
No Ceilidh would be complete without dancing, so the children danced a variety of Scottish Country dances outside in the sunshine. The afternoon ended with ?Auld Lang Syne? and a braw time was had by all!
