Dear Parents
Apologies for the fact that there was no newsletter last week. We have been experiencing difficulties with our technology since the refresh. Hopefully things will be improving over time.


Chartered Teachers
Congratulations to Mrs Mary McBride (P3a) and Mrs Mary Rennie (P4b) who graduated at Stirling University this week as fully fledged Chartered teachers.

They have undergone a period of study for 2 years and have undertaken research with their colleagues in St John?s. Well done to you both!


Principal Teacher ? Mrs Kelly
Mrs Kelly will begin her maternity leave on Friday 24th November. Mrs Jill Brown will take over the P2 post on a full-time basis from Monday 27th November, until Mrs Kelly returns.

Miss Pauline Farrell (P1a) and Mrs Nadia Rutherford (SFL) will share the post of Acting Principal Teacher.

We will be in touch with Mrs Kelly and await the news of her new arrival around about Christmastime.


P1B
Miss Susan Ramage will take up post at St David?s RC Primary School on Monday 4th December. She will leave her post as job share teacher with P1B on Friday 1st December.

Miss Ramage has given 13 years of her teaching career to St John?s and has taught from Nursery ? P5 stages. I am sure that you would wish to thank her for all her hard work with the children over the years. We will miss her cheery smile on our staff team.Mrs Gillian Ross will take over the running of P1b on a full-time basis.

Pantomime - Pinocchio
You will have received separate information regarding our Pantomime trip.

P4 ? P7 Wed 29th Nov (PM) return time 4.45pm approx.
P1 ? P3 Thurs 30th Nov (AM) return time 12.45pm approx.


Raquel ? Champion Swimmer?..
Racquel has had phenomenal success as a swimming champion, during the week she sported no less than 8 medals! Congratulations.




Fanfare Concert
Mrs McGee has taken a group of children to the Fanfare Concert at the Usher Hall on Wednesday of this week. We have 2 stars, Calum and Rachael, both P6 pupils, who will sing solos also Emma , James , Johnny Pia, Cecile , Alessandra and Abbey also took part. Well done to you all.

P3 Parents Meeting for First Reconciliation
Reminder for those families with children involved in preparing for First Reconciliation. The meeting is for parents only, on Monday 27 November at 7.00pm in the church. There will be an opportunity during the meeting to purchase a booklet that aims to assist you and your child with their preparation. The cost of the booklet is £1.70. We would also ask any families who have yet to complete the return slip to please do so and either hand it into the Presbytery or bring it along on the night. Many thanks. Plea for School Christmas Fair
This is a plea for donations for the school fair. If you have anything we could use as prizes, or for any of the stalls we have please hand them in to the school office, we would very much appreciate it.

Picnic / Bark Spreading
Thank you to everyone who turned out to help spread the bark in the playground on Friday lunch time. We had a fantastic time despite the rain and the playground is now ready for serious play. The children were amazing. They all worked so hard. Thank you.
Becky Lueck
Halloween Parties
We raised nearly £600 for the PTA funds. Well done to everyone. It was brilliant fun and a fantastic turn out. A thank you to all the helpers. The spells and crafts were spectacular. Same time next year!
